Restoration Appeal Events

We have learned that a condition of the English Heritage grant is that we raise our part of the funding (£100k) within the next twelve months! ouch! whilst it can be in the form of pledges (mainly from the other grant-giving bodies to which we are applying) this really does mean that we must put all our efforts into raising this money. The Committee have planned a series of events, in co-operation with other village organisations and are also moving forward with contacting former residents and generally widening our Appeal. We are particularly grateful to: the Village Hall Committee for permitting the use of the Hall rent-free for our various events, the Garden Club, for organising the Garden Safari over the May Bank Holiday weekend, (and of course the garden owners kindly allowing us to admire their gardens!) the St Mabyn Home School Association for sharing the proceeds of the raffle at their Antiques Roadshow evening, the Friends of St Mabyn Church for the Safari Supper and also the Jazz Concert (part of our Summer Music) Joe and Laura Brown at the Shop for their support of the Coffee Mornings and all the artists who will be exhibiting at the various concerts and of course all the musicians and artists who are performing at either no, or very modest fees. It is all very encouraging so very many thanks to you all.
